~~ MY DEAR LIL QISTINA ~~

Today, as early as 4am, Im already awake as Qis was coughing away.. I couldnt sleep hearing her in such agony. I tapped her arm to make her fall asleep again n soothe her chest as well. But it seems the stubborn cough wont go away. Got up to get her medications, i gave her Ibrufen and her cough mixture as well as her temperature starts to go up. Instantly, i made up my mind to bring her to KK Children Hospital to get her check. Since, there's always a bad morning traffic jammed in CTE area heading towards KK, I decided to bring her there around 10am where traffic will be much better. We reached KK Children Hospital at abt 11am and I just need to wait fr about 15-20mins b4 I was attended. When my number was being called up, a normal routine check was conducted to Qis in the Triage area. Temperature at that moment was 38.9 degrees C. Immediately, she was given Paracetamol by the attending nurse n then was told to make payment and registration b4 my number/patient's name was being called. As I was making payment, Qis's name was being called and I immediately went over to the Emergency Area. Blood test was needed to determine that Qis doesnt have any dengue or other bacterial infection. And then we waited fr abt another 10mins b4 being called to see the doct. Xtray was recommended to see her chest area as she was having a rather bad cough. Once all done, we went over to the food court to get our lunch since we have to wait fr abt an hr for the blood test result. Done with our lunch, as I was changing Qis diapers, doct called to inform that the blood test result is with her already. Straight to the no. 12 door for the consultation, I was relieved that there's nothing serious based on the blood test result and the xtray. Qis is currently having a Viral Chest Infection and becos of that, she was having the fever n the bad cough that wont subside even aft a week. At the pharmacy I was given the medications that consist of 2 bottles of antibiotics, 1 bottle of runny nose medication, 1 bottle of salbutamol fr her cough n to open up her airway, 1 bottle of paracetamol and 1 bottle of Ibrufen. Looking at the medication and the doses, I know that I will have a hard time getting Qis to take everything up. And I was right, with just the antibiotics doses, she was already feeling like throwing up... just imagine fr an 18mths old  trying to swallow a 8.5ml antibiotics.. Ewwww... it taste yucky...BUT, i managed to get her to swallow it although its difficult. While she's having this fever n cough, she didnt take much food. Just a little biscuits, rice n milk. It saddens me a lot, OK!! I pray to Allah that He will make my lil sweetie well soon as i couldnt bear to see her suffer like that. Ok lah, m gonna rest awhile b4 she's awake n cranky grumpy again. Pray for my lil one n hear frm me again with my nonsense-ness ya...:)!! Adios Amigos..... ;) ;)

~~ A WEEK IN SINGAPORE ~~

Hey hey hey... im in SG currently. Landed here on saturday frm KLIA LCCT at 12 noon. Fetched by my mom n bro, we went straight to Joo Chiat to get some things before heading back to my parents place. A few days was alrite although my lil gurl n me are being attack with a very bad cough. Thank God that my lil one doesnt have any asthma or else she will end up in KK like her brother few years back. As for me, i'm struggling with the cough n asthma that has been quite awhile been gone and now its back again due to my 'uhuk uhuk'. Planned to go out with my cuzzie but end up had to be cancel bcos of this bloody cough n asthma. Not a great week to be back in Singapore actually. Hub's in KL as he has to work lah as usual. He will be back here in Singapore this Friday n then we'll be driving back on Sunday aft my uncle's wedding.Urrgghhhhhh!!!! I hate this cough!!! **sniff sniff* Yummm... a nice smell frm the kitchen... mum's cooking. Alhamdulillah... taken my lunch yg LAZAT sgt.. Thanks to mum!! ;) (winks)Adoiiii.... seksa lah with this cough... my dada pain u know... Nak breathe pon very difficult. Sesak nafas mcm nak mati pon ader sey... kwangkwangkwang...Anyway, right now, lazing around, dun know wat to do.. nak play puzzle pirates but my bro's pc takder dat game.. Installing..?? It takes awhile to d/ld lah. Troublesome. So, TV jer lah looks like it.... My eldest one is bz w her school project rite now, my son is conquering the tv w either nickleodean or disney channel, my youngest girl is bz messing the whole house n me, here updating what im supposed to update w no ideas in my head. Four-year-old Adlea Ry’Kyla lies sleeping in a hospital bed too big for her, wrapped up in a bright pink Barbie blanket that covers the many tubes snaking from her wrist and the small needle puncture wounds that dot her skinny arms. She looks peaceful while she rests, but for the little girl, every minute ticking past is time lost – she has only weeks to live if she does not receive a human heart transplant. 

Adlea, affectionately called “Nur” by family and friends, is suffering from dilated cardiomyophaty, more commonly known as “swollen heart” syndrome, where her heart is too weak to pump blood around her body. As a result, her body traps fluids – leaving her stomach grossly bloated to almost half her size. 

“She can’t eat; she will vomit because of her foot infection,” said Nor’s mother, Norleen Osman, 33. “She is in agony, and every night she groans and cries.” 

According to Norleen, Nur’s foot infection, a gaping wound the size of a large biscuit, developed when the doctors “ran out of veins to inject on her arms.”  A simple injection turned into a full-blown infection and Nur had to undergo another surgery to prevent the wound from growing. 

“There’s no cure except for a heart transplant. And we can’t get that here.” said Norleen. She told Yahoo! Singapore that the only chance Nur has of surviving is to receive a paediatric heart transplant in either the United States or Europe, something their family cannot afford. 

Norleen and her four children depend on her security supervisor husband’s monthly pay of about $2,200. The cost of such an operation would set the family back by at least $500,000, a sum that they will never be able to raise on their own.
 “We try our best to cut down, we’ve applied for Medifund, but there’s not enough money.” said the housewife, whose family of six stays in a two-room rental flat in Ang Mo Kio. She added that they are already receiving financial assistance with Nor’s medical bills through the KKH Health Endowment Fund.
 During the course of the interview, she broke down several times as she described her daughter’s ordeal.“When she sees me crying, she will ask, what’s wrong, was daddy bad to you, why are you crying?” said Norleen, who has been by her daughters’ side 24/7 since her hospitalisation last week. “She’s so strong, we have to hold on and believe that she will live.” Nur has been in and out of the hospital since she was just five months old and diagnosed with myocarditis, or heart inflammation. She got better, but when she was nearly two years old, a high fever caused another heart infection.
Because of her weak health, she has never had a chance to go to school or make friends, but spends her days resting at home or singing and dancing to Bollywood movies and Barney videos. 
“She used to sing and dance and laugh all the time, but now she has stopped.” said Norleen. Nur's doctor, Associate Professor and Senior Consultant at KKH's Department of Paediatric Subspecialties Dr Wong Keng Yean confirmed that there is no heart transplant programme in Singapore for children as young as Adlea. 

"Adlea suffers from .. an inflammation of the heart muscle commonly due to a viral infection of the heart," said Dr Wong. "Patients are at risk of suffering severe heart failure and early death or developing chronic heart failure."

Norleen has written in to several hospitals in the United States, including the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood. She said the family is now just waiting for a positive response so they can get her the care she needs as soon as possible. 

“My fear is that, when they reply saying yes, my daughter will be too weak to even travel over.” she said. Norleen is appealing to the public for financial help for her daughter.  
“If she can fight to live, I will also fight and be strong for her.” she said. 

Currently, her close friend, photographer Rima McDonald, is handling all donations at her Little Nur’s Heart Fund site, through which they have raised $10,000 as of last Sunday, and hope to raise $200,000 by the 8th of June.

Let's give lil Nur hope n better future. Do u feel ur heart crying?? A lump in ur throat?? Well it did to me. I've played my part. What abt u? I believe Lil Nur didnt ask fr a huge amount. Just a little frm everyone will definitely help her greatly. 
I've dont know her parents or herself nor did I ever meet her b4. But I cant bear to see a small child in so much agony. I dont know abt all of u.... but just imagine if we are in Mdm Norleen's shoes... Wat wud u do..?? How wud u feel? Wat will u think of...?? Just a little contribution goes a long way.. Imagine if 1 person willing to donate $10, if there's 1000 people = U've already got $10000. Each person plays a part... we will definitely achieve the GOAL amount. LIL NUR DOESNT HAVE MUCH TIME. SO ALL PEOPLE WITH A HEART, WHAT R U WAITING FOR?

~~ The best gifts in the world as a mom ~~

Astagfirullah.. hah kan dah teristigfar. Hahaha. Aper tidaknyer, dah ages tak update. Bila bab nak update, masa takder. Bila ader time nak update, takder pulak ilham nie dtg. Definitely bila nak update something here mesti ader ideas kan. Kalau tak buang karen jer type2 berjeler tapi takder citer. Hahahaha. Lots of stuffs dah happen and one of them is I've just lost my mom-in-law. Yup... she's gone :(. She was warded sbb sesak nafas at Hospital Jempol but her sickness get worse n have to be transfered to Hospital Kuala Pilah. After warded fr a day, she went into coma and exactly 12hrs later she passed away. Reason: Chronic Kidney Complications. Ya lah, org dah tua and furthermore she dah kene stroke fr abt 6 yrs. She suffered a lot then. Kesian dia when teringat balik how she sat and dragged herself (stroke to her legs) to the bathroom. Den once done, she called for me or hub to lift her up frm the bathroom n then she dragged herself again to the room. Really really kesian. Kita sedekahkan alfateha pd dia lah... Mak mertua ku Zainab binte Ariffin.
K kita put that story aside, dari mula sampai now asik post citer jer kan. Gambar2 takder. Mcm boring kan. I myself tgk pon boring :P. And slalu asik citer2 pasal anak2 tapi gambarnyer takder. Dinah is 13 this yr, Danish is 9 and Qis is 1yr 5 mths currently.

Amcam cute tak suma. keh keh keh.. mestilah cute kan sbb mummynyer cute :P. K lah, kita outs jap ek. Sbb dah ujan lah. Paham2 ajer lah kalau dah ujan, dah guruh, nanti sure ader petir. Takder modem tu jadi mangsa petir tu lagi. Hahaha... See ya amigos!! ;) ;) ;)

~~ Extreme Tired But Wat To Do ~~

Alahai, dah tak tentu hari bila bab update blog nie. Memang hajat dihati nak update hari2 tapi aper kan daya, masa yg tak tentu halanyer hehehe. So bila ader chance nak update, I make full use of my time lah. But it wont be as wonderful as if I have lots of time lah kan. Currently, memang ngah sibuk gila. Dgn urusan anak2, dgn Qis yg asik nak panjat sofa jer..so susah lah nak duduk diam2, cari ilham nak update blog nie kan. Kalau dia ngah main, kita mesti nak dok melayan dia.. Bukan nyer dia tau nak main sendiri.. hahaha. Sedangkan nak masak pon kekadang asik kejap2 tutup api stove tu jer. Sedap atau tidak masakkan tu nasib lah org2 yg kat dlm umah nie yer. Keh keh keh.Insyaallah nanti 7th April, nak buat Aqiqah si Qis. Tak buat aper2 lah just Aqiqah kambing den masak n kasi org2 surau mkn. Nak buat dulu masa dia kecik lagi, ongkosnyer blom tebal..hahah. Al-maklum, kita nie bersalin kat Singapore. Kos hospital kat sana tak sama mcm kat Malaysia nie. Aritu ader gi visit kawan tu sbb dia baru jer bersalin. Tgk bil spital dia, alahai.. full cost dia cuma RM30+ jer... Murah gila tu. For everyone nyer info, I beranak kat Singapore, full cost is S$2900. Tu in Singapore dollars tu.. so leh imagine lah yer kenapa sampai tunda2 nak Aqiqahkan si Qis nie. Tapi kata org tua2, ader rupa aderlah harga nyer. With that cost, mmg lah layanan kat spital Singapore tu tiptop. Mkn pon sedap!! Hahahah. Esok nak gi Serting.. biasa lah kan kalau dah gi Serting nie nak tgk saper kan. Of course my in laws lah sbb dah lama tak tgk drg.. lebih kurang 3 minggu. 3 minggu tu kira lama ke ek?? :P .. kalau compare to tgk my own parents yg 3 mths once baru lah balik sana... Sendiri fikirlah yer.. hahahhaha.K lah, for now tu jer.. nanti ader masa, update lagi together with some pictures lah ek.. sbb boringkan blog asik menceceh jer...Nitey nitey suma..!!! ~~ MASYAALLAH ~~

Goodness me...!! Its been awhile again since my last posts. Sibuk sangat lah until I cant find time slot fr myself. Teruk kan..??!! Ha ha ha. Anyways, lots of things have been going fr the last couple of months. Nak citer pon I dun think boleh habis in a few minutes jer (tu jer yg i can spare). But wat im sure is dat, m looking forward to balik SG lah this wkend although a short trip back lah. Tu pon bcos nak visit my grandmom lah who is ill n at the same time tu lah org tua 2 org kat SG tu dah rindu ngan budak2 nie.. lagi2 telatah si kecik. So insyaallah balik lah kejap. Currently my 2 kids nie ngah exam this wk. Stress fr me as usual lah. Dorang tu rilek jer mcm selalu. Ohh.. si dian dpt selected for Library Prefect (Pengawas Pusat Sumber) ..alhamdulillah. Now she ngah on probation n once she dah confirm, uniform kene tukar lah alamatnyer - from head to toe suma lain dari the usual school uniform. Another thing, 2 more days to Dian's 13th birthday. Nothing grand to do lah sbb ngah exam n furthermore she pon tak nak sbb dia kata "dah besar lah mummy". Hahahha. Kita ikotkan ajer lah kan. Cuma nanti sunday nak balik SG, nak gi amik cake birthday dia dulu b4 heading back. Hopefully cantik lah cake tu nanti hehehehe.... looking forward sebenarnyer nie. (anak yg nak birthday, si mak lak yg over excited ek)Si Qis now jgn kata dah jln, dah lari ah. satu umah dia dah lari..tangga pon dia dah turun naik. Kita yg asik kecut perut..tak tenteram nak buat keje umah kdg2 tu.Danish as usual himself. Degilnyer tu subhanallah.. Allah saja yg tahu.. Sabar jer lah kan..... kalau tak sabar, rembat ajer ngan rotan.. wuakakakkaa....K lah, need to sambung my next chores (haaiizzz bila lah nak abis nie - penat!!)

~ Ages gone.. ~

Masyaallah.. its been so long since my last update.. Alaaa bz lah nowadays.. with my eldest girl in Secondary 1KRK, my son in P3 and lastly my lil one Qistina is already walking n mid running..lol. So Im like all over the house.. cant sit still to do anything.. Now I find a little time to update cos Qistina is bz watching TVIQ showing all sorts of animals n dat fascinate her. Will update more lah ya.. now got to go already.... she's coming near me to meddle with my lappy again.... Adios .....
